RECOMMITMENT IS ONLY REQUIRED FOR BELOVEDS CURRENTLY IN THE BLACK POSTER PROJECT

RECOMMITMENT IS DUE NO LATER THAN JULY 1, 2026

To remain part of The Black Poster Project, every family must submit recommitment by July 1, 2026.

THIS IS A FIRM DEADLINE.

If the recommitment is not submitted by July 1, 2026, your beloved’s poster will be TEMPORARILY REMOVED from all future exhibits until recommitment is received. After September 1, 2026, it will be PERMANENTLY REMOVED from the project as well as the Gallery of Angels.

We want every beloved to remain part of the project, but we must have updated permission from each family to continue.

WHO MUST COMPLETE THIS

This recommitment is for the beloveds that are CURRENTLY included in The Black Poster Project.

As The Black Poster Project continues to grow, we are committed to maintaining accuracy, consistency, and dignity in how each poster is displayed. Your recommitment allows us to continue honoring your beloved with the respect they deserve. Your continued participation ensures that your beloved’s story remains part of our mission to educate, honor, and save lives.

TYPES OF EXHIBITS

All events are listed on the website. Each will reference FULL or PARTIAL as well as PUBLIC or PRIVATE. Events are added as booked. It is important for you to visit the events page regularly to follow where we are exhibiting.

FULL EXHIBITS

A FULL exhibit includes EVERY POSTER in the project. These events are always open to the public and represent the complete collection of beloveds honored through The Black Poster Project. Since every poster will travel to these full exhibits, it is not necessary to request your beloved’s poster to be included.

PARTIAL EXHIBITS

A PARTIAL exhibit includes a ROTATING COLLECTION OF 200 POSTERS often used in schools, smaller venues, or locations with limited space.

REQUESTING INCLUSION IN ANY PARTIAL EXHIBIT

Families may request that their beloved’s poster be included in ANY PARTIAL EVENT by emailing the project (theblackposterproject@gmail.com). We will always do our best to honor these requests whenever space and scheduling allow.

VISIT OUR GALLERY OF ANGELS

You can review your beloved’s poster and storyboard anytime by visiting the Gallery of Angels on our website. Simply click on their photo, and their full story will appear.

EVERYWHERE WE GO . . . PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW!

To help us answer these questions with care and accuracy, we need your beloved’s hometown city, county, and state. This information also helps us maintain complete and respectful records within The Black Poster Project.

OPT OUT / REQUEST TO EXIT THE PROJECT

We understand that circumstances and comfort levels can change over time. If you no longer wish for your beloved’s poster to be included in The Black Poster Project, you may indicate that choice below.

Choosing to exit the display will remove your beloved’s poster from all future events, as well as remove the poster from the Gallery of Angels

Please note: Even after removal, your beloved’s poster may still appear in photos or videos from past events where it was previously displayed. These materials cannot be altered retroactively. Additionally, due to the strong adhesives used to make each poster, the pictures are not able to be removed intact. The poster board will remain in possession of The Black Poster Project as it will be reused for future submissions.

A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE . . .

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your beloved’s story.
Thank you for allowing us to carry their memory into communities that need to hear it.
Thank you for standing with us as we work to break stigma, educate, and save lives.

We are honored to walk this journey with you.
