Lost souls included in this project are from all around the U.S.A.

Here’s what’s needed to add a poster.

First.

Due to the sensitive nature of this project, we must have consent or proof of consent from next of kin or parent.

Consent form with all 3 sections completed - dated, signed and returned to theblackposterproject@gmail.com with balance of information listed below.

Second.

We need a picture. This will be enhanced and enlarged on our end. You do not need to worry about quality. Please, no added graphics to the photo. We understand you may be limited with current pictures of your loved one … many of us are experiencing this as well. Also, if you have pictures of your loved one that you like, but there are other people in the frame, feel free to send and we can possibly work with isolating your beloved.

Third.

We need a short story, memory, poem or passage for the story board which appears above the picture. This should not be long as many people walk by to read the many stories. If it is too long, they may not stop to read about your loved one. If the written portion is on the smaller side, we could possibly add a wallet size picture with the story board.

FOURTH & MOST IMPORTANT.

Once we receive the Consent Form, picture and story, we'll digitally prepare your loved one’s poster. You will receive photos of the poster and story board to approve.

Once approval is received, the poster will be prepared and included in the display, and your beloved will be added to the website’s Gallery of Angels. Approval must be received before the poster is made.

*** IMPORTANT ***

ALL FOUR STEPS ABOVE ARE REQUIRED BEFORE A POSTER ENTERS THE DISPLAY.

On a more sensitive note … this is for your reference only … The Black Poster Project is an addiction awareness project. Each poster is representative of a person who has passed away as a direct result of their own personal battle with substance use of any kind. Your loved one will be displayed alongside all other souls who have lost their battles. There is nothing more needed from you regarding this … only to be sure you are aware of the specific nature of this project. At any time, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your story or poster, or would like to exit the display, do not hesitate to let us know. However, all prior pictures or videos may still feature your loved one’s photos, as acknowledged on the Consent Form.

Please note we are unable to accommodate requests for duplicate posters due to the high cost of preparing each one. Thank you for your understanding.
